Delivering for Colorado’s 4th District

$14.75 Million for Local Water and Roads

Signed into law · February 2026

Lauren secured $11.75 million for 13 water projects across the district. That includes clean, reliable water for Castle Rock, Wiggins, Severance, Lamar, Louviers, Ovid, Kiowa, Brush and Walsh. She got an additional $3 million for road improvements on the Heartland Expressway (SH 71), Highway 85 and in Windsor.

$15 Million+ More for Our Towns

Lauren is fighting for 16 more local projects, including water and sewer upgrades in Kit Carson, Bristol, Holly, Merino, Nunn, Eaton, Simla, Ault and Burlington; the Republican River Compact pipeline in Yuma County; and road improvements in Highlands Ranch, Castle Pines and Sedalia.

Finishing the Arkansas Valley Conduit

About 50,000 people in Southeast Colorado are still waiting on clean drinking water. Lauren’s Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act passed both the House and the Senate, and she secured the conduit’s language in the Water Resources Development Act, which passed the House in September 2026. She won’t stop until it’s done.

Keeping South Platte Water in Colorado

Nebraska wants to build the Perkins County Canal through Sedgwick County to take South Platte water, and has threatened eminent domain against Colorado landowners. Lauren is fighting Senate language that would force federal approval of the canal.

Hometown ZIP Codes

Passed the House · July 2025

Lauren’s bill, backed by both parties, gives Severance, Castle Pines, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and dozens of other communities their own ZIP codes, so residents get the right mail, the right services and the right tax rates. It passed the House 278-121.

Lauren voted to pass the Farm Bill and was named a Farm Bill conferee, where she’s pushing her CREP Improvement Act and local meat processing, grazing access and a ban on Chinese Communist Party ownership of American farmland.

Millet Recognized as a Specialty Crop

Lauren won specialty crop status for millet, opening new resources for Eastern Plains growers.

Restoring Eastern Plains Rangeland

$850,000 to treat about 8,900 acres of cheatgrass-infested rangeland in Cheyenne, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Washington and Yuma counties.

$10 Million From Bureaucracy to Rural Colorado

Passed the House · June 2026

Five Boebert amendments moved $10 million out of back-office spending and into the Farm Service Agency, rural development, rural utilities, conservation and anti-fraud oversight.

Protecting Ranchers

Signed into law

$3 million to compensate ranchers for livestock killed by wolves, relief for livestock haulers from burdensome regulations, and a block on listing the sage-grouse.

Rural Jobs and Hydropower Expansion Act

Co-led with Democratic Rep. Adam Gray, this bill expands hydropower at federal water facilities to create rural jobs and lower energy costs. It passed committee with support from both parties.
