LEGISLATIVE UPDATES

  • ABOLISH THE ATF: Congresswoman Boebert has introduced legislation to abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives as this agency has tried too often to chip away at our Second Amendment rights. Congresswoman Boebert is leading the charge to make sure that doesn’t happen as this agency is unconstitutional, duplicative, and a waste of our tax dollars.
  • THE CONVEY ACT SIGNED INTO LAW: Congresswoman Boebert’s Clifton Opportunities Now for Vibrant Economic Yields (CONVEY) Act was officially signed into law this past weekend. This law directs the Bureau of Land Management to sell a parcel of land to Mesa County for economic development in Clifton. Team Boebert is so proud that we were able to make this happen for the Western Slope and create job opportunities for Coloradans.

THIS WEEK IN WASHINGTON

  • H.R. 29 Laken Riley Act - To require “the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to detain certain non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law) who have been arrested for burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting. The bill also authorizes states to sue the federal government for decisions or alleged failures related to immigration enforcement.”

Status: Passed

Lauren was proud to vote ‘Yay’ on this bill, along with all 216 Republicans present at time of vote, and 48 Democrats.

  • Congrats to the Windsor High School Girls Cheer Squad! This past Friday, the Windsor HS Cheer Squad was recognized for their 2024-2025 4A State Championship at a pep rally. You can see photos from the event HERE!
