Lauren Boebert For Congress Announces New Team Members
LAURA CARNO, COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR. Laura Carno is a political media strategist, author, and Senior Fellow with Independent Women’s Forum. Laura frequently appears on local and national media to discuss various political issues and campaigns, including interviews with the CBS Evening News, Fox News Channel, CNN, USA Today, NRA-TV and various Colorado media outlets. Her media and communications work contributed significantly to the historic 2013 recall of two Colorado Democrat State Senators including the Colorado State Senate President.
KRISTI BURTON BROWN, LEAD POLICY ADVISOR. Kristi Burton Brown is a constitutional attorney focused on defending the people’s rights to free speech, freedom of religion, and equal protection under the law. In her work as a policy analyst, Kristi helped to negotiate Colorado’s Free Speech on Campus Bill, strategized on state budget cuts, and worked to pass a new state law aiding victims of human trafficking. She is the Vice Chairwoman of the Colorado GOP, serves on two non-profit boards that focus on education for at-risk and rural students, and a homeschooling mother of two.
SHANA KOHN BANBERGER, FINANCE DIRECTOR. Shana Banberger will oversee the dayto-day fundraising activities and donor interactions for the campaign. Shana joins the team with over a decade of Colorado political experience ranging from local level candidates to statewide. She previously served for five years as the Colorado Republican Party’s Executive Director and currently fills the role as the Director of Party Operations and Member Services.
JESSICA HAYDEN, SCHEDULER and PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO LAUREN BOEBERT. Jessica Hayden recently earned her Political Science degree from Fort Lewis College and is a lifelong resident of Durango, Colorado. She joins the team after impressing Lauren Boebert with letters of support during the primary and showing determination to create an opportunity for herself to gain experience in her chosen field of politics.
